Three Peat Complete!

NVCC 12u All-Stars Rout Pearl River To Capture Third Straight District Title

The Bombers took the field at Nanuet Wednesday night and left no doubt as they racked up 16 hits en route to a 19-1 decisive victory over Pearl River. The win secured their third straight District Championship and first three-peat in NVCC history.

After Jasper Valuriya scored on a passed ball in the first and a Jaxon Corniel drove in a run with a single in the second, the score was 2-1 going into the top of the third.

In the third, a Joey Doody single that was sandwiched between walks by John Welch and Jasper loaded the bases for Ayden King. Ayden slugged a 2-0 fastball to deep left for a 2-run double making it 4-1. The Bombers tacked on four more runs in the inning (Santino Barone RBI single, Christian Collazo RBI GO & Niall Rossiter 2-run double) to make it 8-1.

Dylan Lettre, who started, retired Pearl River in order in the third to set the stage for the Bomber offensive explosion in the fourth. Dylan finished with four strikeouts over three innings of work allowing only one run.

In the fourth, the Bombers sent 16 batters to the plate. They all either got a hit, walked and/or drove in a run. The biggest blows came off the bats of Jasper and Ayden who hit back-to-back home runs to blow the game open. With the bases loaded, Jasper stroked a grand slam over the right field fence. Ayden followed with a moonshot over the left field fence.

John Welch took the mound in the fourth and recorded the final three outs. The last batter flying out to Niall to end the ballgame.

A total team effort! Not a single Bomber struck out. Nine recorded a hit, eleven scored a run and six recorded a multi-RBI game.

In District play the past three years, the NVCC Bombers finished with a perfect 13-0 record and outscored their opponents, 147-22.
